Welcome to the 2011 Radiation Epidemiology and Dosimetry Course, conducted by NCI’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG). This course is intended for people with backgrounds in epidemiology who are interested in learning about the health effects of radiation exposure–particularly the relationship between ionizing radiation and cancer. We’ve designed the course assuming that you are familiar with basic epidemiologic concepts, terminology and methods of data analysis, but we intend that most of the material will be understandable by people with college-level training in basic biology, chemistry and physics.
