Departing Fellows

Pierre Bigot, M.D., left the Laboratory of Translational Genomics (LTG) to continue his urological practice and to complete his doctoral studies at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Paris and Angers, France. Upon passing France government Medical Boards, he expects to become an official government physician.

Nicole Deziel, Ph.D., left the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as associate professor at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Todd Gibson, Ph.D., left the Radiation Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as an assistant member of the St. Jude faculty at the Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hisani Horne, Ph.D., M.P.H., left the Hormonal and Reproductive Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as a regulatory scientist with the Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Stephanie Kovalchik, Ph.D., left the Biostatistics Branch to accept a position as an associate statistician with the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California.

Stephanie Lamart, Ph.D., left the Radiation Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as a research engineer for the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission in Paris, France.

Wen-Qing Li, Ph.D., left the Genetic Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Shih-Wen (Wenny) Lin, Ph.D., M.P.H., left the Nutritional Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as an epidemiologist with Genentech in San Francisco, California.

Patricia Luhn, Ph.D., M.P.H., left the Hormonal and Reproductive Epidemiology Branch to accept a position as an epidemiologist with Genentech in San Francisco, California.

Matthew Makowski left the Laboratory of Translational Genomics to pursue a Ph.D. through the Marie Curie Initial Training Network in Developmental and Computational Biology, which is a multi-university program sponsored through the European Union. He will be doing his laboratory work at partner institution Radbound University in Nijmegen, Netherlands.

Wei Tang, Ph.D., left the Laboratory of Translational Genomics to accept a position as a staff scientist in the Molecular Epidemiology Section of the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis, NCI Center for Cancer Research.

Jincao Wu, Ph.D., left the Biostatistics Branch to accept a position as a mathematical statistician at the Division of Biostatistics in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health of the Food and Drug Administration.
