Scientific Resources

Scientific resources for UGI cancer studies include over 15 DCEG cohort and case-control studies, Dr. Taylor’s Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory Unit (MELU), and several other laboratory facilities that provide service to DCEG. A complete list and details of these cohort and case-control studies appears in Tables 1-2. We are also active participants in the BEACON, an international consortium of case-control and cohort studies of Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma, and the Asian Barrett’s Consortium (ABC), an international consortium of investigators interested in the emergence of Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma in Asia.
