Investigators in the Radiation Epidemiology Branch (REB) continually develop new and improved methods of estimating radiation doses to support epidemiologic studies of irradiated populations. REB dosimetrists focus on refining dosimetry methods for specific studies and characterizing and quantifying the uncertainties related to the resulting estimates. Methods that REB develops are made widely available so that they can be used by other radiation epidemiologists.
Examples of studies include:
Breast Radiation Doses from Diagnostic Procedures
Doses to Young Persons and Clean-up Workers, Chernobyl
Dose Reconstruction for Epidemiologic Studies
