Discovering the causes of cancer and the means of prevention

Metabolomics of energy balance, nutritional status, and cancer

A metabolic phenotype represents the collection of all metabolites within a biological system and it reflects the influence of both genetic and lifestyle factors. The goal of this study is to identify specific metabolites or metabolic profiles that can be used as biomarkers for lifestyle-related exposures or as prospective markers for cancer risk.
