Ryan Lafferty joined DCEG as a predoctoral fellow in the Biostatistics Branch (BB) in September 2021. He earned his B.S. in mathematics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2019. 

Mr. Lafferty is currently a Ph.D. student at UMBC, where he focuses his research on Bayesian model selection for high-dimensional data, under the supervision of Dr. Anindya Roy. In BB, he is working on the development of novel methodology and analysis of high-dimensional omics data in cancer epidemiology and genetics, under the mentorship of Hyokyoung (Grace) Hong, Ph.D., senior investigator.
