Ixta Obregon, B.S.

Postbaccalaureate Fellow

Ixta Obregon joined the Clinical Genetics Branch (CGB) as a postbaccalaureate fellow, via the NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP), in 2020. Ms. Obregon earned a B.S. in biochemistry and mathematics from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.

Ms. Obregon works under the mentorship of Sharon A. Savage, M.D., DCEG Clinical Director, Chief, and senior investigator, and with the Li-Fraumeni syndrome study team on a project evaluating the immunologic status of individuals with germline TP53 pathogenic variants and its association with cancer.
