Connect for Cancer Prevention Study. Connect today. Prevent cancer tomorrow. You can help us learn how to better prevent cancer. Who: Connect is recruiting people who are: Age 30-70 at enrollment and have never had cancer. People remain eligible if they have or had non-melanoma skin cancer (like basal or squamous cell carcinoma), or conditions that may raise cancer risk, such as ductal carcinoma in situ (stage 0 breast cancer). What: We are looking for 200,000 adults to join Connect, a long-term study designed to explore the causes of cancer and learn how to better prevent it. Participants will: answer health surveys, donate samples, and share access to their electronic health records. Participants will receive a $25 payment after completing the first health survey and donating a blood sample. Where: The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, has partnered with health care systems across the US. When: It takes time to understand the causes of cancer. We hope participants will take part in Connect for many years. Why: We need people from diverse places to join Connect so that our research findings can benefit all communities. We expect our research to lead to new approaches to prevent cancer and find it earlier. How: Learn more about Connect and sign up at cancer.gov/connectstudy. Together, we can change the future of cancer prevention. The Connect for Cancer Prevention Study is a research program of the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health.
