Lindsay Morton Receives DCEG Mentoring Award

November 2013 - Linkage Newsletter

Lindsay M. Morton, Ph.D., a tenure-track investigator in the Radiation Epidemiology Branch, received the 2012 DCEG Mentoring Award in recognition of her commitment to training junior scientists.

In the nomination by DCEG fellows, Dr. Morton was described as “…a wonderful example of an independent investigator, research collaborator, mother, and mentor. Dr. Morton demonstrates that great mentoring starts with genuinely caring about her mentees and wanting them to develop and succeed as independent researchers by helping fellows initiate new research areas. Her focus is creating a passion for cancer epidemiology in her mentees and supporting them in reaching their research goals.”
