Yei Eun Shin Receives Career Development Award from Korean International Statistics Society

In August 2021, tenure-track investigator Yei Eun Shin, Ph.D., M.S., in the Biostatistics Branch (BB) was recognized for her work by the Korean International Statistics Society (KISS) with their Career Development Award. This award recognizes the potential of early career statisticians to contribute to the field of statistics, demonstrated by their outstanding productivity. KISS is a non-profit corporation with the goals of promoting the field of statistics in academia and societal applications, as well as among the general public. Dr. Shin received the award at the 2021 Joint Statistical Meeting. 


Dr. Shin develops statistical methods to analyze cancer risk and health outcomes associated with different spatiotemporal exposures and improve estimation or validation of risk models for epidemiological studies.
