Headshots of Drs. Freedman, Schiffman, and Wentzensen

Neal Freedman, Mark Schiffman, Nicolas Wentzensen

The Highly Cited Researchers of 2019, issued by Web of Science includes three DCEG senior investigators: Drs. Neal D. Freedman, Ph.D., M.P.H., of the Metabolic Epidemiology branch, Mark Schiffman, M.D., M.P.H., of the Clinical Genetics Branch (CGB) and Nicolas Wentzensen, M.D., Ph.D., M.S., of CGB, and their collaborators.

This list identifies 6,217 scientists from nearly 60 nations, publishing in a wide range of research disciplines. To be selected, investigators must have produced multiple papers ranked in the top 1% by citations for their field and year of publication between 2008 and 2018, a measure of research influence. The citation records of these researchers position them in the very highest strata of influence and impact.
