sparrpowR: Power Analysis to Detect Spatial Relative Risk Clusters

sparrpowR is an open source, R-based software package that provides power calculations for the local statistic of the spatial relative risk function. Using user-defined parameters, sparrpowR generates spatially clustered point-level data and detects spatial clusters with high statistical power within two groups. Further functionality is available to overlay power calculation results on user-provided Geographic Information Systems.

sparrpowR provides investigators with an easy-to-implement method to calculate the statistical power of spatial clusters, which aids in the design of more efficient studies.

Software Download

Download sparrpowR software and supporting documentation from the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN). The sparrpowR module is also available on Spatial Power, a suite of web-based applications that provides an intuitive graphical user interface to conduct spatial power calculations.
