Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB), Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, NCI

Dr. Zhiwei Liu is a research fellow in the IIB. He received a Bachelor of Science in preventive medicine from Sun Yat-sen University in China and a Ph.D. in epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. He came to IIB as a postdoctoral fellow and was promoted to research fellow in December 2019. Dr. Liu's current research is focused on immunity and host and viral genetics to understand the etiology and early detection of infection-related cancers.
