Debraj Bose, Ph.D.
Debraj Bose, Ph.D., joined DCEG in August 2026 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Biostatistics Branch (BB) under the co-mentorship of Haoyu Zhang, Ph.D., Stadtman investigator in BB, and Xihao Li, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Bose earned a Ph.D. in biostatistics from the University of Michigan. His doctoral research focused on developing statistical methods for genome-wide association studies, rare-variant association testing, multi-omics data integration, and genetic analyses using sequencing and imputed data.
In BB, Dr. Bose is developing a method that integrates Mendelian randomization with proteomics-based risk scores. His work aims to improve understanding of the biological pathways underlying complex traits and diseases and to identify proteins and genes that may contribute to disease risk.
