Katherine Hullin joined the DCEG Laboratory of Translational Genomics as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the laboratory of Laufey Amundadottir, Ph.D., senior investigator, in July 2022. She earned a B.S. in genetics and anthropology in 2021 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where her undergraduate research focused on the role of pioneer factors during the maternal to zygotic transition (MZT) and in zygotic genome activation (ZGA).

In LTG, Ms. Hullin is investigating functional variants at genetic risk loci and the mechanisms by which they influence pancreatic cancer risk, under the mentorship of Dr. Amundadottir and Katelyn Connelly.
