Karen Corleto, Ph.D., M.P.H., joined DCEG as a postdoctoral fellow in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch (MEB) in August 2025. She earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in nutrition from Texas A&M University in 2024 and 2017, respectively, and an M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University in 2025. During her doctoral training, Dr. Corleto investigated obesity and postmenopausal breast cancer and potential therapeutics using preclinical models.
As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Corleto works under the mentorship of Steven Moore, Ph.D., investigating adiposity, hormones, and diet in relation to cancer risk.
