Jessica Pepe, ScM

Jessica Pepe, Sc.M., joined DCEG in August 2026 as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch (OEEB) under the mentorship of Sonja Berndt, Pharm.D., Ph.D.

Ms. Pepe earned a B.S. in biology from Siena University in New York in 2024. She completed her Sc.M. in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2026.

In OEEB, Ms. Pepe is conducting molecular epidemiologic research on the impact of genetic variants on cancer risk. Her projects examine genetic risk factors, including rare variants, for Waldenström macroglobulinemia and how pesticides, chromosomal mosaicism events, and HLA impact the risk of multiple primary cancers. She also examines the impact of genetic variation on the risk of other health outcomes.
