Lauren Black, B.S., joined DCEG as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Clinical Genetics Branch (CGB) in January 2024.  Prior to joining DCEG, Ms. Black worked at the NCI Center for Biomedical Informatics & Information Technology (CBIIT) working on the CHARMS System Migration. Ms. Black earned her B.S. in health sciences with minors in computer & information technology, web development, and biology from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia in 2022. She is currently working on her master’s in data science (MS-DS) from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  

In CGB, Ms. Black is working on data validations, entering backlogged study data into the CHARMS system, and assisting on reporting structure of pedigrees, under the mentorship of Sharon Savage, M.D., senior investigator and Director, CGB, Renee Bremer, M.S., and Jessica Hatton, M.S.
