Julia Francis, M.P.H., joined DCEG as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB) in September 2023. Ms. Francis earned an M.P.H. in epidemiology and a certificate in molecular epidemiology from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, New York, New York. In 2021, she earned a B.S. in public health science from the University of Maryland, College Park.
In IIB, Ms. Francis is investigating sex differences in the immune response to viruses and cancer risk, under the mentorship of Sarah Jackson, Ph.D., M.P.H., Earl Stadtman investigator.
