Rime Jebai, Ph.D.

Rime Jebai, Ph.D., joined DCEG as a postdoctoral fellow in the Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB) in September 2025. She earned a Ph.D. in epidemiology from Florida International University in Miami in 2023. During her doctoral training, Dr. Jebai studied the health effects of electronic cigarette and waterpipe use and evaluated the impact of policies, including health warning labels, on their use. Prior to joining DCEG, Dr. Jebai worked at Boston University, where she studied tobacco use and chronic diseases.
As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Jebai works under the mentorship of Jill Koshiol, Ph.D., investigating the etiology of biliary cancer and the translation of research findings into practice.
