Nyahne Bergeron, Ph.D., M.P.H. joined DCEG as a postdoctoral fellow in the Integrative Tumor Epidemiology Branch in September 2024. She will examine associations between social and economic factors, breast cancer risk, and tumor heterogeneity under the mentorship of Jonine Figueroa, Ph.D., M.P.H.
Prior to joining DCEG, Dr. Bergeron earned her Ph.D. in public health sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health in 2024. Her dissertation research focused on how information sharing among social networks could be leveraged to promote breast cancer preventive behaviors. She holds an M.P.H. with distinction from DePaul University (2014) and a B.S. in biology from St. Xavier University (2007), both in Chicago, Illinois.
