Postbaccalaureate Fellow

Isabel Rodriguez joined DCEG as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the laboratory of Michael Dean, Ph.D., in April 2022. She earned a B.S. in biochemistry with a minor in natural and applied sciences from Florida International University, Miami. 

In LTG, Ms. Rodriguez is working on liver tumor samples from Central America, looking at mutations primarily caused by aflatoxin. She is also analyzing retinoblastoma samples with the goal of spotting mutations across the RB1 gene.
