Prema S. Bhattacharjee, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Prema Bhattacharjee, Ph.D., M.P.H., joined DCEG as a predoctoral fellow in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch in March 2024. Prior to joining DCEG, she worked as a clinical research coordinator at Maryland Oncology and Hematology and NEXT Oncology Virginia to assess and facilitate the initiation and completion of Phase I and II clinical trials, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate patient care. Dr. Bhattacharjee earned her Ph.D. in cancer epidemiology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on understanding cancer grade and survival disparities among young adults diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, residing in South Carolina. 

In MEB, Dr. Bhattacharjee is conducting research on H. pylori infection-related premalignant and malignant gastric lesions, under the mentorship of M. Constanza Camargo, Ph.D.
