Lynn Ferro, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Lynn Ferro, Ph.D., M.P.H., joined DCEG as a postdoctoral fellow in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch (MEB) in July 2025. She earned a Ph.D. in nutrition science from the University of Delaware in 2024 and an M.P.H. with a concentration in epidemiology and biostatistical methods from Johns Hopkins University. During her doctoral training, Dr. Ferro studied infant nutrition interventions, focusing on the role of complementary food types in shaping the gut microbiome.
As a postdoctoral fellow and participant in the NCI Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP), Dr. Ferro works under the mentorship of Emily Vogtmann, Ph.D., conducting epidemiologic research on the relationships among diet, the microbiome, and cancer risk.
