Sijia Huo, M.A.

Sijia “Scarlett” Huo, M.A., joined DCEG in 2023 as a predoctoral fellow in the Trans-Divisional Research Program (TDRP).
Ms. Huo earned her B.S. in mathematics and computer science, statistics, and economics, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, in 2018. During her time there, she interned at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications where she worked on the development of parallel computing methods for breast cancer data. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in biostatistics at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In TDRP, Ms. Huo will be conducting research on the development of statistical methods for cancer-related GWAS data under the mentorship of Peter Kraft, Ph.D., director, Trans-Divisional Research Program.
