Postdoctoral Fellow

NCI Shady Grove | 7E124

Samuel (Sam) Anyaso-Samuel, Ph.D., joined DCEG as a postdoctoral fellow in the Biostatistics Branch in September 2023. He earned a Ph.D. in biostatistics from University of Florida, Gainesville, in 2023. During his doctoral studies, he focused on developing statistical methodologies tailored to the analysis of multi-state time-to-event data with cluster correlation, while also addressing the intricate challenges stemming from informative cluster sizes.

Under the mentorship of Jianxin Shi, Ph.D., senior investigator, and Paul S. Albert, Ph.D., senior investigator and Director of BB, he develops statistical methods for analyzing spatial heterogeneity of tumors, longitudinal microbiome data, and biological networks.
