Ms. Ty joined DCEG as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Clinical Genetics Branch (CGB) in October 2024. Prior to joining DCEG, Ms. Ty completed her Undergraduate Scholarship Program fellowship at NCI’s Center for Cancer Research where she developed and applied AI platforms for cancer detection. Ms. Ty earned her dual B.S. degrees in biomedical engineering and biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2023.

In CGB, Ms. Ty is investigating the effectiveness of cancer surveillance and screening on individuals with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome under the mentorship of Sharon A. Savage, M.D. and Payal Khincha, M.B.B.S., M.S.H.S.
