Postbaccalaureate Fellow

Erica Stephens joined DCEG as a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB). She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in cognitive neuroscience and psychology, where, under the mentorship of Dr. Seanna Leath, she worked to explore Black maternal health, focusing on pathways to motherhood, health disparities, and reproductive justice.

Under the mentorship of Aimée Kreimer, Ph.D., senior investigator, IIB, Ms. Stephens is aiming to expand her knowledge of public health and gain experience in clinical and epidemiological research by investigating HPV-related health outcomes and cancers. She is also working with Drs. Jaimie Shing, Loretto Carvajal, and Mónica Sierra​​​​​​.​
