June Peters Recognized by the National Society of Genetic Counselors

June Peters, M.S., CGC, LMFT, founding genetic counselor (retired), in the Clinical Genetics Branch, received the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) most distinguished honor, the Natalie Weissberger Paul National Achievement Award, at the 2021 NSGC annual meeting.

This award honors one outstanding member who has served NSGC with exemplary national achievements and volunteer activities on behalf of NSGC and the profession.

In accepting the award, Ms. Peters delivered an incredibly powerful lecture (beginning at minute five of the video), providing a valuable and unique perspective on the field of genetic counseling and her career.
