Steve Simon Receives 2021 Health Physics Society Award

Steven L. Simon, Ph.D., staff scientist in the Trans-Divisional Research Program, received the 2021 Health Physics Society’s Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award in July in Phoenix, Arizona. The award honors Dr. Simon’s career publication record, contributions to the science of radiation protection, and 25 years of continuous service to the Editorial Board of Health Physics

Health Physics provides the latest research to a wide variety of radiation safety professionals including health physicists, nuclear chemists, medical physicists, and radiation safety officers with interests in nuclear and radiation science. The journal allows professionals in these and other disciplines in science and engineering to stay on the cutting edge of scientific and technological advances in the field of radiation safety.
