Health Equity: DCEG's Commitment to Research to Improve Cancer Health Outcomes for All

DCEG is committed to conducting research that advances cancer health equity. As the world’s largest cancer epidemiology research group, we have the resources and expertise to investigate the factors that influence differences in cancer risk and outcomes.

We develop studies that reflect different aspects of diversity and focus on populations historically underrepresented in research, such as our descriptive epidemiology studies, the Connect for Cancer Prevention Study, and the Ghana Breast Health Study. These approaches are informed by the DCEG Cancer Health Disparities Working Group and Fellows’ Cancer Health Disparities Interest Group. To ensure our research is inclusive and beneficial, we seek to engage with the communities we study.
