2022 ICIS Mentoring Award Goes to Ludmila Prokunina-Olsson

Ludmila Prokunina-Olsson, Ph.D., is the LTG branch chief, and head of the Prokunina-Olsson Lab

Ludmila Prokunina-Olsson, Ph.D., chief of the Laboratory of Translational Genomics, was recognized by the International Cytokine & Interferon Society (ICIS) with the 2022 Mentorship Award in recognition of her significant contributions to the field of immunity and cancer genetics as well as to training, nurturing, and guiding the next generation of scientists. 

The Awards Presentation will take place during Cytokines 2022 Hybrid: 10th Annual Meeting of the ICIS, taking place September 20-23, 2022.

The newly established ICIS Mentorship Award recognizes society members who have made significant and sustained contributions to the career development of trainees and to the profession through outstanding mentoring. This award is based on the training experiences and success of the nominee’s mentees. Dr. Prokunina-Olsson was nominated by five of her mentees.
