Sharon Savage Recognized by Her Undergraduate and Medical Schools

Sharon A. Savage, M.D., Chief of the Clinical Genetics Branch and Clinical Director of DCEG, received the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award from the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine in Burlington, in October 2022. The award is presented to alumni in recognition of outstanding scientific or academic achievement. 

In 2021, Dr. Savage received the Robert H. Goddard Alumni Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement from her alma mater, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). The Goddard Award, named in honor of the father of modern rocketry and WPI class of 1908, recognizes alumni with pre-eminence in teaching or research. Dr. Savage and her research were profiled in WPI Journal, the alumni magazine.
