2024 Fellows Symposium Focuses on Ethics and Equity in Genetics Research

The 16th Annual DCEG Fellows’ Symposium, "GenEthics: Advancing ethics and equity across the genetics landscape," was held on April 30, 2024, at NCI Shady Grove.
Participants heard from three keynote speakers: NCI Director Dr. W. Kimryn Rathmell, Dr. Melissa B. Davis, Director, Institute of Translational Genomic Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Dr. Kevin Davies, Executive Editor, The CRISPR Journal and GEN Biotechnology. The day also included an interactive speaker panel, fellow poster presentations, and a networking/social event.
Three fellows received awards for their posters:

- Shuai Xie, Ph.D., M.P.H., “Occupational Exposures to Organic Solvents and Risk of Bladder Cancer”
