Discovering the causes of cancer and the means of prevention

AsiaLymph Study

An international case-control study of lymphoma among Chinese in Eastern Asia (AsiaLymph) has been launched to replicate and extend recent and novel observations made in studies among Caucasians in a population that is distinctly different with regard to patterns of key environmental and occupational risk factors and genetic loci. It is employing next generation occupational exposure modules, combined with historical exposure measurements on key exposures. It will be the first large-scale study (3,000 cases, 3,000 controls) to have central immunostaining and pathology review to enhance the ability to accurately study subtype-specific effects.
