Prostate
Review DCEG research studies on prostate cancer. Studies include:
-
Ghana Prostate Study
A study designed to assess the burden of prostate cancer in Ghana in order to evaluate how the impact of prostate cancer among West Africans compares to that among African-Americans
-
PFAS Exposure and Risk of Cancer
DCEG investigators in the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch (OEEB) have developed a portfolio of research aimed at identifying cancer-types associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These studies are innovative for their direct assessment of exposure using banked serum specimens as well as their evaluation of risks at varying exposure levels, from occupational exposure to those found in the general population or among military personnel.
-
Prostate Tissue Study
A study to investigate to what extent blood (circulating) concentrations of sex hormones represent concentrations within the prostate
-
Prostate Cancer Research in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch
MEB Prostate Cancer Studies
-
Prostate, Lung, Colon, and Ovary Prospective Study
A large cohort study of etiologic determinants of cancer carried out within an NCI trial for the evaluation of screening procedures for the early detection of prostate, lung, colon, and ovarian cancer (the PLCO Trial) at 10 U.S. screening centers
-
Vitamin D and Cancer Risk and Survival
DCEG scientists investigate the association between Vitamin D and cancer risk.
