Elizabeth Cahoon Awarded Tenure by the NCI
Elizabeth K. Cahoon, Ph.D., was awarded scientific tenure by the NIH and promoted to senior investigator in the Radiation Epidemiology Branch (REB). Dr. Cahoon is an internationally recognized radiation epidemiologist whose work focuses on understanding how environmental sources of radiation exposure affect cancer risk.

Alisa Goldstein Retires from the NIH
Alisa Goldstein, senior investigator in the Clinical Genetics Branch, retired from the NCI in 2025 after 37 years of service. Dr. Goldstein is an internationally recognized expert in the genetic etiology of melanoma, chordoma, and upper gastrointestinal cancer.
