Diesel Methodology Papers Earn 2012 Thomas Bedford Memorial Prize

The British Occupational Hygiene Society awarded the 2012 Thomas Bedford Memorial Prize to four papers describing the methods used to estimate occupational exposures in the Diesel Exhaust in Miners Study. The four papers were published together in the Annals of Occupational Hygiene in October 2010. Named in honor of the Society’s first president, the Bedford Prize is awarded every two years to the author or authors of the most outstanding paper(s) published in the Annals during the relevant period. Dr. Patricia Stewart, a former Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch scientist, has been invited to receive the prize at the Society’s 2013 Annual Conference in Manchester, United Kingdom.
